Thread: Need help VM speed test not registering..

  1. #1

Angry Need help VM speed test not registering..

I'm rather annoyed now. I've started something, but cant complete it.

I'm doing a VM speed test for rpm.....
    http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=87109

I've tried 20 times over the last 3 days, and here are my results...
    http://www.tcpiq.com/tcpIQ/LineSpeed...&UserId=244707
    Nothing.

Now, i dont know if i'm doing something wrong, or what. Is it me, VM, or the test itself?

    VM staff - suggestions?

I'm not the only one with this meaningless result.

My reception is from a VC tower (only one avaialbe to me)

    Suggestions anyone?

I'm also getting the same result, even though my browsing seems ok. However, my Windows has been busy with an update in the background for the last 3-4 days. Maybe that's my problem?
Or could it be the phone I'm using right now- Nokia 3650?
    Also using a Voda tower.

I have done the test s using my Virgin sim and got the speeds results. When i do other test e.g Ltancy, DNS i do not get any results. I have tried using the office conncetion but i still get the same output. It seems like this is not a problem on Virgin.

For what it's worth, I have never been able to complete the tcpIQ test with my Virgin Mobile SIM. Drop in my MTN SIM and the test completes successfully. Same computer, same software, settings, etc, the only change made was the APN.

There are way to many failures from VM sim users.

Me, failed 20 times thus far - Never had a result.
    ginggs - failed
cellbel - sometimes works, sometimes doesnt.
    Snowwolf - failed

Could others please try this test and let us know how you went.
