WiMax coverage in Gauteng

Can anyone get a list of areas with WiMax coverage in Gauteng? Or perhaps a roll-out plan?

Hmmm... as per telkom... seems most urban areas in jhb already has wimax coverage.

hmmmm, let me try again. my area isn't listed on telkom's db. street names arent listed on garmin gps either. it's a new are but next to existing areas. so most likely there is coverage but they just dont know.

is there anyone in the wild west of jozi using wimax? i have LOS to the clearwater mall exchange and radiokop. i mean, there's many other exchanges in the are as well.

even better.... anyone from telkom reading this? please help.

hmmm close to me, i also wanna know if there's coverage around here...due to cable theft.
Telkom ppl not very helpful, saying most of JHB os covered but dont know where.

Why not go to the telkom shop in clearwaters mall? The towers claim to have a range of 30km radius, so if they have wimax for testing at the telkom shop then i'm sure u covered.

Eventually got hold of someone in their Wimax department. Actually, they phoned me. I was told that there isn't any WiMax coverage in the area and so far no plans to roll-out any towers in our area. I was also told the a technician did got to my premises (i doubt it) and couldnt get reception.

Anyone with a good Internet link. 4MB - We can all join Jawug and create VPN connections to a Secure Proxy on a ADSL Link. any other ideas. Will donate some hardware
