You can copy the Updates from your WoW directory on the first PC ;)

I suggest you simply take the entire WoW folder of the first PC and copy it "As-Is" [8GB] .
No install, just run it directly from there. Don't download or install all the patches again.

That method works without any problems.

In fact it works so well that i simply burnt my full installed folder to 2 DVDs and done [after some very large patches + burning crusade expansion] , i'll probably never install WoW from scratch again.

good idea, 1+ hours of install + patches is a bit of a drag.
I keep a local copy of all patches from the patch mirror wiki just in case =)

Cool thanks guys,

But just a thing i am worried about, since i got a second copy of WoW + expansion and they have there own CD keys would i have to first install both then copy over? or would i have to first copy over then just play? But then what about the cd keys?

Thanks, i don't know much about these things. :P

Remember you create your account on the WoW website not on the actual game ;)

It makes no difference. You'll have to delete your chars files though. Just cratch around in the WoW directory

Nope
Your only validation occurs when you log in to wow.
Not on the client side.
Thats why internet cafees can host wow.
Imagine if it was validated on installation , they`d have to install a different copy of wow for every different client. :P

The first time I started playing WoW, I just copied all the files from a friend with the patches and played with my account.

I have all the original disks, but they have never left the box :p hehe

I now I have own backup as well...just incase :)

I installed the game and xpac and then did a cut a paste, replacing the whole game. Saves a gig or so of d/loading patches.
