Most of the time, i have no issues but for the past two weeks, i get intermittent access - actually zero access to two servers in the UK, the FTP protocol just stops working on the internet APN.

I have run it on a dsl line at the same time to ensure the boxes were all in order and had no issues.

Am i missing something ?

worth noting it was fine until about 3pm today

I recall there was an problem with FTP on the internet apn. The suggested workaround was to use the internetvpn apn (IIRC). I am not sure if the problem has been fixed yet, but VC was working on it. v3g will know more.

Edit: here is the original thread: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=81547

It was fixed and feedback from users who had the problem seemed to confirm it.
It seems to be broken again for me tonight.

Update: works on 'internetvpn' APN, not on 'internet' APN.

// Working fine again
// The issue seems to only rear its head later in the day - ie i have only experienced this issue post 5pm

I also had issues tonight on internet apn with passive FTP. I can login, but the directory listing does not return (which is where the data connection is opened)

Working fine for me now as well. Will try again after 10pm.

Tried at 22:05, took several attempts to upload a file on 'internet' APN, eventually file did upload. My IP Address was 10.61.63.251.

// This has STILL NOT BEEN RESOLVED and is actually getting worse

Provided you're experiencing the problem described in this thread, call 155 and get provisioned for the [searchforum]"internetvpn APN"[/searchforum] instead, also ask 155 to explain how to get your modem to use the internetvpn APN.
