Podcast: Apple Mac Leopard OS X

Win a copy - I cant even get them to deliver a copy (Family License)! Looking forward to listening to the show anyway. :)

You should wait for SP1 anyway - I mean 10.5.1 :)
I usually do but I'd prefer it to be my choice

That said incompatibilities seem to be few and far between. Just Adobe who needs to sort their software out.

and the NAS problem... but that said, I have not had any hang-ups or crashes and that from an upgrade.

Unless they're reporting problems with the airport extreme's NAS I'm not overly concerned at this stage about that. I'm planning on using that as my time machine drive.

I am unable to use a NAS drive for time machine - only externally connected to USB or FW allowed. Don't know if the airport extreme router will work. Might be that I cannot get RW access to my SMB shares - only read.

Time machine doesn't work with AirDisks, or so they say. I haven't tried to check this yet, so I'm going on hearsay.

So far Leopard has been working like a dream, but some features need to mature like Stacks, the Dock and Spaces.
Whose idea was it to give the same background and dock to Spaces anyway? That is pretty lame.

For me the killer app is quicklook and cover flow in the finder and the better integration of spotlight is a dream.

BTW Leopard handles SMB's and attached disks much better than Tiger.

Bummer - I hope they change that but thinking about it, you can't even use an AirDisk as an Aperture Vault so it probably shouldn't surprise me.
