Me,
Don't worry about it, I think it's some Power management device not supported by XP. All works as expected without it.
here's a tip. if you want to double your battery life, load Ubuntu 7.10 on it.
I get 2.5 hours on the standard battery and 4.5 our of the long life one. And it's SOOOOOOO much quicker.
I've been OS hopping for the past 3 months on mine.
vista - slow and very low battery life (takes 7 minutes to boot, even longer to shut down)
XP - little less slow and low battery life
SUSE - don't like the lack of proprietary drivers for wireless
Mandriva - wireless no work, resolution all screwy
PCLinuxOS - STABLE and FAST!, but having trouble updating from repositories, but the updates work. battery life same as XP. Will give next version a try since everything works out of the box
Kubuntu 7.10 - unstable and buggy power management
Ubuntu 7.10 - perfectly stable and fast- automatix2 solves all the codec and media issues. MASSIVE battery life and fan rarely needs to spin
