No neotel coverage in cape town cbd????!!

Wow.
Just phoned to find out about the neotel uncapped product... and apparently even though they launched in cape town.....no blerry coverage in the middle of the cbd!

Anybody else have neotel in cpt in the city centre?
 
You should ask if anyone else actually has Neotel in Cape Town, never mind just the CBD.
 
Hah!...Neotel STILL doesn't know which province my street is in. I type in my street address, type in Cape Town, select Western Cape and hit "search". It then brings up a list of roads in Gauteng. Why is their search system so useless!
 
The funny thing is that I live in bville and there the coverage is excellent(we wanna use it at work to share between a few friends.... :P ).
So yeah, kinda sucks.
 
What's up with the non existent coverage in CT CBD and Southern Suburbs? Postnet in Claremont and Rondebosch have the product but they cannot sell. :confused:
 
Well if they made the towers to look more like trees , then our tree huggers might pass the EIA.

(Neo - I volunteer my backyard for a tower)
 
I saw them finish Long street and today they are working next to Garden Center. The question is if those orange pipes also connect base stations.
 
I can understand your concern with Neotel not being in CT CBD but I live on the outskirts of JHB CBD and I dont have coverage. They said only in April or so.
 
They are busy pulling the fiber cables into the pipes that go up into garden center. So hopefully there is a base station going live soon. It should probably cover CBD.

Southern Suburbs around Lakeside and Muizeberg have gone Live

They also now added other options:
Voice Only.................................No Coverage
High Speed Internet Only.............Requires External Antenna
Voice and Basic Internet..............No Coverage
Voice and High Speed Internet......Requires External Antenna

I hope there's coverage in Wynberg, I DESPERATELY want to get rid of my iburst connection!
 
What I saw before the coverage map was taken off again was:

Whole CBD covered
Seapoint and Greenpoint covered
Areas above CBD covered (Tamboerskloof, Gardens, Oranjezicht, Vredehoek)
Increase in coverage in northern suburbs.
Random coverage spots along the M3 (no blanket coverage)
No coverage in stellenbosch, or clifton.
