Month end and what do I get from Neotel NO connection to a secure Site. No Bank Sites, No BidorBuy nothings.... Thanks Neotel thanks for nothing...

Neotel sounds like the police force. we are investigating. yes you guessed it with no results.. PLEASE NEOTEL HEAR ME... Take your crap back and give me peace of mind... let me have one night of sleep. PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!

There are some big issues on the Internet Solutions network today which is causing problems, and if i recall correctly, a lot of the corporates are hosted on I.S's network as opposed to SAIX, so that could very well be the issue rather than specifically Neotel.

^^That's weird I use PayPal, BidorBuy, bank no problems with Absa and have no issues when using https://mail.google.com/mail/

Before flaming Neotel maybe check that it wasn't dns issues and as mccrack said could also just be certain servers that are having hassles temporarily.

Oh wait, its you again. Your got Neotel PMS or what? Do you ever stop moaning??????

Lol, I just went through his previous posts - It is like he comes here just to unload his anger or something? It is hilarious to say the least :p

if anyone by the name of efons wanted to use me for any service I would tell him to move along, even if it was to book one of my girls

We experienced some problems with local Internet access between 09:30 and 11:30 today as a result of a cable break affecting peering connections, but cannot comment on any similar problems on peer networks. We are looking into the reasons for the unacceptably long problem.

While trying not to be a total arse here, I think Chris Rock did an awesome sketch on people taking credit for things they're SUPPOSED to be doing... ;)

The thing is though, that feedback (any feedback) is always welcome, even if it's not what you want to hear.

[ Johannesburg, 31 October 2008 ] - Neotel has confirmed it experienced a generalised network failure this morning, which it says caused an outage for certain customers in the Johannesburg area.

Neotel executive head of strategy Angus Hay explains that customers experienced a break in service when one of the optic fibre backbone cables was damaged. “This resulted in a localised interruption of services to enterprise clients in that area, as well as some of the CDMA towers as this is a fairly major route.”

He says the service was restored within two hours, which is the stipulated window period on Neotel's service licence agreement with its customers.

This appears to be the first major network trouble the company has experienced since it launched its business service last year. However, one client says the disruption is unacceptable.

Conflicted clients

ECN, a Neotel customer, says the outage lasted from around 9:45am until after 1:30pm today, which ECN COO Mike Britz says is unacceptable. “The downtime had a real impact on Neotel's business customers. They only managed to re-route the services this afternoon.”

According to Britz, ECN and its customers had difficulty contacting the Neotel call centre and were forced to diagnose the problem themselves. “Some kind of car or truck drove into the pole that holds one of the main links to the company's core network,” he says.

“It appears that this crucial link is neither self healing nor fully meshed”, says Britz. He adds that the company has experienced patchy service from Neotel and has decided to switch providers.

John Holdsworth, CEO of ECN, says: “This type of network failure clearly illustrates why VANS should be allowed to self provide their own networks. It is totally unacceptable that we should be forced to lease capacity from operators who are apparently unable to meet accepted standards of service.”

However, another client, Vox Telecoms, has not had the same problems. The company says the network did experience a hiccup this morning, however, the company says it does not consider the problem a network failure.

We better let Ajay Pandey know to clear a spot in his schedule so that efons can kiss his butt.

Just for the record

Yes Still waiting now for over a month. The usage from September, The new wonder modem that will allow me to connect to more than one computer, my emails to be answered and of course for neotel to tell me to get lost cancel my contract so that I can move along. Ho yes Sunday that was yesterday no connection what so ever to internet or voice for the whole morning.

I do believe that all that comment on here regarding Neotel have Neotel. If not then you don't have the RIGHT to comment so get lost... If you do have neotel then Please comment.

Neotel is currently horrendous.

I also have daily issues.

Their Call centre is rude beyond measure - the dude says to me maybe he is not articulate enuff - so I politely told him to go fscuk himself.

Every day there are connection issues, they like to call them outages, and no they don't know when they will be back online, but their technicians are working on the issues for the benefit of everyone.

What BS, they were not ready to offer services to the public.

Oh yeh, BTW, its the 10th Nov today, I wonder when I will get Octobers account?

I don't even advertise the phone number as the phone is horrible to use, I go deaf if someone calls me, and it messes up the connection if you are online, so then you have to reboot the PC.

I never thought there would be a day where I would miss Telkom...... but sadly I really really miss them, but due to constant cable theft they no longer repairing cables in my area.

WTF ? What type of cr@p OS or hardware is your PC running on??? I have battle tested this in both XP and Ubuntu and have yet to reboot my PC - not even power cycling the USB is required.

What people would say to just get a post.
