WiMax is the logical answer for Africa

look, the more competing technologies, the better! But some of them really still have to get off the ground or get way more coverage, before we can say "it is the answer". If someone can bring a nice Wimax solution to my area, I'm sure I will give it serious thought... but right now it is just more pie in the sky... as elusive as NeoHell.

Except for South Africa.

Welcome ICASA, to the "we are incompetent" pool.

Every SINGLE country in Africa has a more advanced WiMAX spectrum allocation policy than you do. I have deployed more WiMAX networks in Africa than South Africa has operators in that spectrum.

Take away Sentech's spectrum.

I've been using Wimax for a while now and have to agree, it's a very good alternative to adsl. Screamer can offer 1mbps and my pings are the same as adsl' users. Just need more BW. :D
