Hey Guys,
Just signed up with Vonage VOIP in the UK... simply just to try the tech out. So far things have been good. Apart from the initial outlay of cash for the adapter... here are the prices.
Linksys RT31P2 Device 1 £49.99 £49.99
Linksys RT31P2 Rebate 1 -£35.00 -£35.00
Area Code: 01234 - Bedford 1 £0.00 £0.00
Activation Fee 1 £9.99 £9.99
Residential Unlimited Promotion 1 £5.99 £5.99
--------------------------------------
Shipping: £8.99
Total
including VAT*) £39.96
*VAT (17.5%) £5.95
So a total of £39.96 for the router & first months rental. £5.99pm gets you unlimited calls to any UK landline. The alternative on a local telco company in the UK would add up to about £25pm.
Ordered on Monday the 12th and its here on the 14th.. the virtual number was also active minutes after signing up.
Sooo I shall see how things go. Stupid thing is its cheaper to call SA from here at 2p per minute than call your neighbour on your telkom line.
