Sentech switches 702 to FM band early

Cape Talk would not be moving to FM because the AM signal was adequate in Cape Town, Gwangwa said.

I think people people expect more than an adequate signal. .

Initially, the migration was expected to happen in September, six months after Icasa gave 702 the go-ahead, but a quick response from suppliers and manufacturers had enabled the station to switch two months before the targeted deadline, Taylor said.

If only things could happen this fast with broadband realted things.

Note how few listeners they have. I must say I am one of them. :) Overnight the station turns to crud, but during the day there are some progs that are quite interesting at times.
