Jeff Rees, a Welshman living in Finland, logged on and said he was left absolutely disgusted.

"I was shocked when I saw that - very surprised," he told the South Wales Echo newspaper.

"I wanted to see what kind of things were being done to promote Cardiff and I was just amazed when I saw this website link; I couldn't believe it."
