WAPA unhappy about ‘iBurst’s lack of integrity’

140 000 pamphlets -- quite a lot.

Hey, guerrilla marketing is a step up from graffiti :p
Let's be honest .. ICASA isn't going to do anything. Doubt anything will come
from a legal case.

Aerosat may as well print 140 000 orange pamphlets saying

"iBurst" in top left corner and "Teazers" in the bottom right .. with a nice big
black collage of a stripper in the center.
 
No I think watch this space.

If ICASA acts quickly against iBurst we know they are a bunch of bias @#$%!


I have had allot of respect for iBurst and that campaign was low or they were totally misinformed by someone.
 
Did you hear that? The sound of another nail driven into the iBurst coffin.

Apparently they'd rather spend money on printing 140,000 flyers than to actually do something to keep their customers happy.

What the hell were they thinking? i didn't know of another wisp there, but thanks to Iburst now i do.....mmm strange now lots of people know

business lesson : don't try to beat your competitors with propaganda (it will backfire)... try to improve your service and keep your clients happy - this is the only way to gain new clients and keep your existing clients.

My thoughts exactly!!! I have never understood why these companies advertise like that. Telkom especially, they are still the Monopoly for goodness sakes, rather use that money spent on other aspects of marketing that need a lot of attention.
 
No wonder Ed Hall is leaving. I too would not like to be affiliated with a company that thinks that spreading propaganda is more important than keeping your customers happy.

iBurst, WAKE UP!!!!! Your company is falling down around you!!!
 
If ICASA starts targeting users of these illegal operators, then things will change. Just make an example of one or two people...

Hopefully they dont, that would be really low, but then again its ICASA

I did not imply that I "want" them to take action. The contrary infact.

To answer the question, you'r the legal expert... Surely if i buy a stolen car knowing that it is stolen there could be some form of consequence?
 
Strewth, next we will have little white panel vans driving around with okes trying to catch the users, lol, like in the old days with CB radios haha.

This will interfere with ICASA's luncheon schedules, we would all be better served if they just got on with doing their jobs and clear up these regulatory issues once and for all.

yes in respect of stolen goods but a user is not sending a communication from point to point and is not committing any offence under the electronic communications act or even the telecomms act through using a service, whoever is providing it

Yes!!!! how about we convince all these people that the Lazy \ Easy way to go about all this is to just wake up and say free telecoms market :D That way they are sure to make it so :) seeing as it will mean more nap time for them :p
