GTS reveals their broadband pricing

What a complete and utter disappointment :eek:

512kbps = Broadband (What a joke!)
Where is the 4mbps service? It will probably be introduced later at a 'market competative rate' :rolleyes:

What a crock of ****, these guys were suppose to be SOOOO much cheaper and with faster speeds and uncapped, now they offering the equivalent of adsl at slightly lower prices, another South African rip off!!!

A massive let down and a typical South African effort at 'competitiveness'. They see Telkom and the rest getting away with exhorbitant so they jump on the bandwagon.

Yay!!! GTS... Coming to your area... imminently!

Yeah... according to their coverage page, they are rolling out to Heidelberg, and some other municipalities 'have shown interest'.

So really, their pricing is irrelevant because their service isn't available anywhere.

:eek: So what exactly is the point of announcing their pricing to the whole world?:rolleyes:

Guys come on, they have to recoup the costs of installing all those powerlines they using for their network!

Just another Telkom shadow... pathetic :sick:

What a load of cr@p :mad::mad::mad:

Trying to make quick buck ripping us off.. :mad: no way in hell I will pay those rates :mad:

Telkom charges for bandwidth + Eskom Charges for using the powerlines +government charges (just because they can..) = Goal sucks @ss :eek:

Anybody else smell Telkom's involvement in this? I'll eat my hat if Telkom has not cut some sort of deal with GTS.

Yet more evidence that the culture of abusing consumers in SA is alive and well.

GTS thou art a POS.

Guys, if you want to complain about the price, complain to Telcom.
Remember THEY have exclusive access to international bandwidth, which means GoalNet still have to buy bandwidth from Telsh1t.

I am confused about the pricing in the article, shaped lower than unshaped?
must be the other way around.

Yup - disappointment to say the least, those prices are not competitive!. I want uncapped at fast speeds way below R1000 - its clear this will never happen, too many fatcats licking the cream!

They have lost any business they would have had from me a long time ago for 2 reasons:

1. They delay more than Telkom and ICASA combined, therefore I will NEVER buy from them.

2. They were supposed to be cheaper and faster than ADSL, and yet, here we are, they lied, just like Telkom.

Thanks but no thanks.

GTS pricing is ludicrous! They can do so much better and here I thought that PLC would help in bringing costs down. How wrong I was!
