No Vodacom Network coverage

:eek:From this afternoon around 3:30 pm I’ve being getting only 2 bar network coverage then from around 6 pm I’ve had NO network coverage and still not, I phoned Vodashop in Canal walk and the Lady said that vodacom is having a network problem, I told her then why is it that my friend cell is not having this problem and she cant give me an answer. Is there any other person that’s having this problem in Cape Town?

I'M also having this problem with both my prepaid and contract numbers. stopped at 6 and i live in durban. it's a problem with their system.

Mmmm I've been down since six this evening. I think it may have to do with business accounts / personal accounts - my business phone is down, but my friends phone (personal account) worked at the same place / same time.

Same problem.....in Durban

Both my contract phone and prepaid have been out since 6pm

Maybe its vodacom's "load shedding":D

For a while I thought it was one of those sim theft fraud scams for internet banking i was a victim of .:(

I also cant figure out why some ppls phones are working though.

I'm also down, so can't even phone my contacts to check what's going on....

Also down !!!!

Been trying since around 6 ish (11 now)

What is up Vodacom? Come and give us a explanation online here!

Honeydew area here. Since this afternoon I also noticed a problem. I have been out (visiting) all evening and havent used my phone but just arrived at home now and determined something strange:

We have 2 Sony Ericssons 1 Nokia N70 and 1 Samsung E530. All on Vodacom and both Sony Ericssons and the Samsung have the same contract types. I am not sure about the N70.

Both Sony Ericssons have "no access to network" yet the Nokia and Samsung are working fine.

i first noticed the problem at 15h05 today... remember the exact time because i had a 15h15 deadline to meet and was desperately trying to get hold of someone in JHB.
i was phoning from a landline (in cape town)... his number didn't ring, go through to voicemail or anything. i suspected something was wrong so tried calling 4 other vodacom subscribers, all based in cape town, including my own cell phone. got through to 1 of the 4, but not mine, which was laying on my desk.
tried the guy in JHB again, sent him a call-me and tried to call from my cell... no luck.
3 of 5 numbers are on contract, 2 are on pre-paid.

what was/is the problem?

It`s nearly 7 hours with no network coverage, What the hell is going on !!!

It might be sim-related. My sim doesn't work in my phone or in my fiancee's, and her sim works in both. She's vodacom 076, I'm on 082.

Same thing this side , my friend is a 076 and he is not having a problem ,im a 072 no and I beeen down since 6 pm.It`s more like vodoocom than vodacom.
