Free unlimited SMSs from Virgin Mobile

Seems like a good deal.

Excellent news & well done VM, but there is something I would like to know: my definition of "to any network" is all networks capable of receiving SMSes anywhere in the world, is that Virgin Mobile's definition as well, or is this limited to South African networks only [including Telkodemonopolies landline phones capable of receiving SMSes]?
I'd still be very impressed if it was to just SA networks, I HIGHLY doubt they meant international networks.

That, combined with CellC's free weekend minute thing, is going to nail that network...

SOOO glad I'm on MTN... the only network that won't suffer from this.

Brilliant! That will hopefully set the other networks to rethinking their business models

Waiting to see if MTN and Vodacom got the balls to match this.

There's also the 150 anytime minutes. Even without the free sms, R150 for 150 anytime minutes to any network is brilliant - an excellent deal if you make the majority of your calls in peak time.

Wow, what an offer. Let's hope it stays this way and doesn't change to 10 sms's per week, like Cell C's woza 60 minutes.

i think they mean any network in south africa...
eg telkom , cell-c , mtn and vodacom..

but its a nice start, towards the uk style cell packages, they have there.

Thumbs up MV ;)

Wooooooooooooooooooooooza, COMPETITION. Cant wait for MTN to respond to this one.
He he he heeeeeeeeeeeee.... "V'ello Summer"!

This is indeed good show on their side and a killer deal

This'll make the other networks sit up. Unless they withdraw it or parts of it or that the fine print has some adverse condition.

Sounds great. But I'm just waiting to hear the usual catch.

Cynical? Yep, I live in South Africa.

I'm a big supporter of the Virgin brand, but Virgin Mobile SA has proved to be an incredibly frustrating company to deal with.

Is there any other sources for this deal? I'm trying to get more information but there doesn't seem to be any on the Virgin site.
