if you open the game and you do not see anyone in the local list
use the console with ` and type connect 5.***.***.*** "check the server ip on hamachi"

CRYSIS

Crysis server is also tested and working

To connect to crysis you have to create a gamespy ID when you try to connect to a internet game in Crysis just create the ID connect and go back to Local Network Game then connect to my IP 5.***.***.*** NO PORT or use the CONSOLE and type connect 5.***.***.***

Install patch 1.2 and the hotfix 1.2.1

Unreal Tournament 3

At last I got UT3 to work on Hamachi

to connect to a sever when you open the game use the console with f10 and type open and the IP like so "open 5.***.***.***"

Install Patch 1.2

Vegas 2

Cause Vegas 2 has no console commands you have to get the game to show in the game list for lan play so this is what you do this allso works in UT3

IMPORTANT for vista it seems that the hamachi adapter does not do Auto Metric so please assign one I use 10.
"Please use Hamachi 1.0.1.5 for Vista network might crash if you use new one"
"In Xp Just make sure the Metric is set to Auto if it does not work change to 10"

To change metric run this from start ncpa.cpl

right click hamachi adapter go properties

unpick internet protocol 6 while you are there

open internet protocol 4 and click advanced

@ the bottom change the Metric to 10 or 1500

then ok ok ok


HAMACHI

Hamachi is a VPN server and client program for playing games over the internet but with normal LAN option

Hamachi can be download at https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/vpn.asp

It is very important that your Hamachi adapter is set to a higher priority

Notes:2a.Open up the Control panel in the settings of you computer.Then open the network connections menu.

After reading the "Gaming over Hamachi" doc, and setting up your connection to work with hamachi.

You may have to disable the windows firewall"for hamachi" and in some cases you may not be able to use a router or wireless connection to play the game.
Disable windows firewall "At your own risk".

a. Click the startmenu, type in ncpa.cpl into the search field, click ENTER

b. In the new window, click "alt" on your keyboard, click the advanced tab, then click advanced settings.

c. In the adapter/bindings tab under connections, use the up/down arrows to relocate the "hamachi" network connection to the top. This will make URT3 choose the hamachi network connection as default.

d. Now fire up Unreal tournament 3 and host/join a game through the hamachi server.

FIREWALL PROBLEMS

Set your firewall to allow all activates on the ip range 5.0.0.0-5.254.254.254
Some firewalls blindly block broadcast packets (255.255.255.255). If your firewall allows you to configure rules based on the interface, put 255.255.255.255 into a trusted zone on the Hamachi interface.
Normaly firewall can be setup to work without any problems
But first try without a firewall if it works then try with your firewall.
If your firewall causes it to stop working ask a friend to ping you with firewall on if he cannot make shore that that Hamachi is in your allowed application list.

Vista tip
On Vista, go into Networks & Sharing and set Hamachi's network to be a Private network.

If you user Norton or Panda blocking can also be caused by other parts of the Virus software not just the firewall.

Is there anyone that would like to play unreal Tournament 3 or Call Of duty 4 or Crysis on my Hamachi networks

Doesn't hamachi limit you to a max of 8 players? IMHO that's far to little for crysis or COD4.

Is iburst fast enough to play.

if you get a good signal yes
ping www.telkomsa.net and if you get a time of about 50 to 100 it should be fine or just login to Hamachi and ping someone with Hamachi 100 should be very playable 150 max

All you Hamachi experts, Please help.

I downloaded and installed v1.0.2.5.
Connected to a few networks, pinged fine at under 100, and even chatted with a few guys.I could even see the shared folders of the guys.

But, I go into COD4, go to local servers, nothing. Even tried manual connect via the console. timed out, I set the time out to 180s, still nothing.

So what am i doing wrong?
