seriously they have been on the market for ages now, in fact they are ready to be surpassed by BD discs. So why are they still so flipping expensive? It's cheaper to buy a hard drive for back-up purposes.

I don't know if this question has been asked yet, but do anyone have a general idea of how much bandwidth will cost once Seacom is fully operational, and saturated into the market? - any guesses?
She has Telkom landline... and the computer. She will use it for Skype, e-mails, online banking and opening the odd funny video by e-mail. I live pretty close by so tech support is near at hand.
