20 Gig Package

I loaded it on my MyMeg 500 contract and it shows 40Gb available with 20 being for Night Owl..

This is cool, didn't kno you get 20 extra GB's for the night/morning. That brings it to R13/GB, which is extraordinarily ridiculous!

I have an existing voice contract, but I don't want the bundle on the same sim. Would like a separate data sim on the same number.
Get the 20GB Advanced bundle on your contract SIM, you'll get the extra 20GB Night Owl, then get a data SIM linked to the contract SIM for R10 per month.

The data SIM has its own number and can't make voice calls, but both SIMs will share the same SMS and data bundles.

Great, thanks ginggs. Will there be an additional once off charge for the data sim?

Always some issue!

"Unfortunately we are having technical issues on this page and are working to resolve these as soon as possible. Please try again later."

The awesomeness of Vodacom's generic error message when attempting to buy their 20GB special online. This has been happening all day.

I sent someone to the Vodashop originally, but that turned out to be a goose chase as they could only load the R500 rand airtime and told me to phone the help line to convert it telephonically. Then it gets really awesome: I phoned the 082155 support line and low and behold, the operator could not help me - because he used the same bloody www.vodacom.co.za website I am on to try and do it.

Priceless.

Honestly, it's ridiculous, I need to use the SIM elsewhere and now it is steadily chewing through the R500.00 loaded. I never felt so frustrated.. and I recently had to deal with Telkom so its saying quite a lot.

How can this be so hard to do, this was urgent this morning already and still I have nothing!
Its just another check on my list against Vodacoms' name.. a nice dirty blot-ish check mark.

I am done.

Apologies for the rant, but if anyone else has the same issue and manage to find a solution, then please let me know. I will update the post if I get it right or if Vodacom fixes their site, just to spare anyone else the anguish.

I loaded mine using the USSD code *111# and following the prompts to buy a bundle.

NB: This falls under broadband advanced in the data bundles section.

Unfortunately I was and now again am separated from the data device.
That narrows my options a bit..
