Anyone found a way to check data balance with modem in MR3420 Router or are we all still doing the old fashion way by plugging modem in computer USB port??

D-Link DIR-451

Anyone have any info on this 3G router's compatibility with a Huawei E1820 or Dupont BC2470?

I bought it originally to work with a Optimus 3G card but it also has a USB socket. During a visit to Dlink Support in Centurion last year, they mentioned to me that the device also supported USB modems.

When I plug in either my Huawei E1820 or my Dupont BC2470 :) nothing happens (after tweaking the settings for Neotel or Cell C. :(

Try updating the firmware and e-mail the manufacturers to ask if the device is supported. Don't tell them you own one, just tell them you want to buy one and want more infomation.

Thanks for that MMM. In fact later I did email Tech Support at Dlink and they advised that the DIR-451 does support the E1820. The problem is that the firmware version they sent me still only knows about MTN & VC and none of the country providers I looked at list the E1820. I'm waiting for their feedback on this.

I actually have a Dovado UMR, but wanted to dust off the DIR451 to see how its range is. I get erratic wireless performance on the two Apple devices - which could say something about Apple of course...

Got the NETGEAR MBRN3000, a 3G+ wireless N router yesterday and seems to work fine but I cant test if it supports full 21mbps as my area seems to peak to 5-6 mbs download speed on speedtest.net
Using CellC E1820, 60Gb package.

TP LINK TL-MR3420 3g router

Has any1 experienced problems using this router with the black 21mpbs modem?

My connection seems to go dead (wont download) but says im connected to the internet?

If i restart the router it works fine for awhile again then same thing all over?

Is it a setting i have wrong? or faulty router or what?
