8ta 10GB deal

Hi everyone, with my Cell c 2GB coming to an end by FEB '12 I'm thinking of getting the 8ta 10GB deal as a replacement for Cell C due to Cell C becoming toooo expensive for my budget...problem, bought a 8ta prepaid sim, got prepaid data to test reception. I get 1MB download on a good day, and the other days its really bad. With Cell C I got between 3 and 6 MB downloads and pings was fair. What boosting device can I try, cause 8ta fits my pocket nicely...

I have also recently changed from 2GB Cell C to 10 GB 8ta. It is well worth it. I don't know how I managed to survive with 2GB a month.

I'm in exactly the same situation as OP - CellC whoosh coming to an end and now to decide on the next option. At the moment it's a choice between 10GB from 8ta for R199 (24 months) and the 2GB for R150pm. Only drawback with the 10GB option is the 24-month contract.

Can you get a second-sim (dual sim) for the 8ta 10GB package?

2GB GoBig bundle is a special, it will end soon. There is also stress-free prepaid CellC 3GB R399 valid for one year.

With Cell C's current prices their speeds are kind of expected.
8ta's 10gig deal is a lot slower and 1mb/s is an average but at that price I'm not complaining.

8ta works fine with E1752 - modem.

I had a 100MB trial over the wekend with my son's 8ta sim!

Yes, I am doing it right now. Took my CellC modem to my friend in Bergvliet, plugged in his 8ta SIM and off we go. Much better speeds from 8ta, pity it won't work at my house
