ABSA NotifyMe costs 48c per e-mail

Do you feel crooked when charged 48c for an e-mail notification by ABSA?

Shame on you Absa... capilatising on crime like that.
lol at absa`s marketing response. Its even sadder than the 48c ripoffs. Looks a bit automated.
You are wrong, ABSA is NOT CAPITALISING on crime in this case, IMHO they are COMMITTING a crime. BIG difference.

Heard a FNB ad this morning about the 15% back with fuel. Now with petrol price increasing it means you get even more back. Clever :)
It's "UP TO" 15% though. I doubt many people are getting that.
I'm getting 5% which is not bad. Means at least R50 or so in ebucks every month. R600 a year for free, can't argue with that!

Hi, my name is Skerminkel
It's been four years since my last transaction.
I was an ABSA addict for 20 years.
I feel better now.

Very Funny ABSA

I am with FNB and get both Email and SMS notification for all my transactions, best part, it is FREE

Poor absa clients

No, I felt crooked by everything that ABSAd did. That's why I moved to FNB :).

Correct. Forgot the 'up to' :) I got about R100 back this month so no complaints!

ABSA are just common thieves.

The "Full Management Fee" only covers your current account - you'll still pay for notifications on your credit card (which is where most transactions will take place).

Ek gaan maar net my kop skut.. FNB sal te bly wees vir al die kliente wat hulle gaan by kry.

You have to be really thick to still bank with ABSA.

I mean they now introduce this great new product a ridilous fees which other banks like FNB have been offering for years for free.

FNB's Incontact is free for SMS & email.

Did ABSA perhaps partner with Vodacon for this NotifyMe?

One of reasons why I switched to FNB this last month from Standard Bank. Its a big mission to move all my debit orders over, but I felt that charging me R17 a month AND per transaction is a RIP-OFF. Oh and I also pay almost R200 to cap my monthly service fee. This DOESN"T include notifications which I pay for extra.

Emails are a free part of their internet infrastructure...why charge clients.

Standard Bank notifications are 90% of the time VERY late... sometimes half a day late. Wheres the security in that.

STANDARD BANK... YOU SUCK!

I'm VERY happy with FNB.

Absa have also had it for ages.

This is why I left ABSA some time ago and moved to Capitec Bank. The banking fees don't even compare!

I wish I could move away from absa, but currently my access bond is with absa, and I use it to manage cash flow on my current account, otherwise I would have moved long time ago.

Exactly the same problem - if another bank offered me the same interest rate - I'd move.
