This is accurate though, we don't throttle bandwidth and we don't take any punitive measures based on usage (like throttling or blended internet). All our products are subject to our AUP, and in the product description we further say that it is a semi-shaped product.

That is in reference to Uncapped DSL not business. I think you need to read the reply in the context of the question that was asked![]()

How the hell can Afrihost advertise this "Uncapped DSL
Download to your heart's content
Why count your Bytes? Get the power of unthrottled, unmetered Broadband and make sure you always get the best of the internet without having to watch your usage - ever!
"
in BIG bold letters, yet have a small asterisk next to pricing saying "Our uncapped packages are subject to an Acceptable use policy"
Advertising standards are less than honest to say the least.

Never going to say that... esp about the business unshaped accountTypeR said:Ahh we are getting closer to you saying it is shaped. Now just remove the "semi" and we will be right once again.. Optimizing my ass
How exactly does, https://www.afrihost.com/site/page/60_day_complete_satisfaction_guarantee, this work? Would i be banned from coming back to this service once things are corrected? I signed up last month sometime, and was very happy until the 27th of last month.
All i actually want is a refund for the current month, and an email when everything is fixed, and I will return.
Well this is the business thread and nowhere did he say anything about home uncapped, so my bad. You will say it one day though![]()
As I understand it, once you claim the refund within 60 days, your products are cancelled with immediate effect.
Ok... but will I be able to come back once the issues are fixed? Also do not want to lose my line and other services.

I don't think you would be, maybe just not able to claim Double Money back again at a later stage. You would need to include that in your claim so the team who make that assessment can give you their feedback.
You broke their trust in your business relationship by claiming back and waffle waffle sob, so probably not.
I'm pretty sure Afrihost is doing some sort of user profiling, after yesterday's debacle and subsequent support call, everything is looking much more rosy today... last 2 speedtest results look very good:
Without starting a rumour, I think our data throughput is being negatively affected overall if P2P data is being used on your AH account. The support operator did something yesterday that has restored our account to full speed.
For those that are thinking of moving, put your cancellations in now. You can always uncancel if there if the issue is fixed before the 25th.
At least they should see the amount of cancellations and hopefully try to fix the issues a bit quicker. If you keep paying, there is no problem.
Is your P2P running at full speed, my speedtest shows full speed but as soon as i start an NNTP or P2P download then I am lucky to get 100Kbps on my 10Mbps account, most I get is around 30Kbps....
Torrents being shaped heavily. Max 5kB/s
Been trying to get files since this morning... even took a break, reset router and used other ISP account for an hour - no change... now crawling![]()
