What area are you in?

Also for some reason NNTP isn't going faster than ~450k even though speedtest is showing full speed

Yup international but it will usually max out to 1 meg. Also it's a premium service so there shouldn't be any slowdowns from their side if that helps

It's probably linked to the degraded international throughput you mentioned earlier - our team are checking this out :)

Lol @ that first hop. Nothing to do with the ISP bud.
 
Speed tests look fine maxing out local and international, but international downloads barely reach 10kb/s and many just die.

Cool beans! could you ask them to take a gander at port 25572 connecting to my mc server has been laggy at the best of times.
