Afrihost - don't use!

Every company has its issues, Afrihost are now at least attempting to resolve all the issues they are currently experiencing.

However the attitude from some forum members that Afrihost can do no wrong is not the right one either.

True, the forum is for complaints. The complaints against Afrihost have become really unreasonable at times.

At times yes, but there have been a number of valid issues raised as well - As confirmed by Afrihost in certain instances.

However the attitude from some forum members that Afrihost can do no wrong is not the right one either.

Agreed.

lol, sounds like the South African Rugby Coach's jobs!

haha

1. Anyone who thinks that Afrihost needs to steal a few rand, from a few clients with cancellation problems, has some serious learning to do.

2. Spend the amount of time that you would complaining here, to get hold of Moshe. He is there specifically for problems that were not resolved by the usual means.

3. Think before you post. Then think again.

Some good advice there.

I stumbled on this thread checking the new posts and sorry for picking your post Keeper but it made me laugh. Why is the grass always greener on the otherside for us?

Its not going to be very hard to do a quick search and see all the thousands of posts and threads that showed up when WA arrived on the scene. With everyone praising them and going on about how great they are because of the pre-paid services, Because of their cheaper prices compared to telkom.. Blah Blah.

Suddenly we have a new dog in the yard and everyone is doing the exact same thing this time and suddenly WA is the new Telkom.

Why are we so quick to forget were we came from? It scares me ****less because if we forget, We might not see where we are going and be blinded by BS all the way jumping ship everytime there is more food on the table next door.

The consumer has no reason be loyal to any company. I do care who the company is whether it is afrihost,wa or whoever. I will go with whoever offers me the best bang for my buck.

Never had a problem with Afrihost. The best and the best price.

i had a problem with afrihost, never solved yet they charged me again for bandwidth and i got nil... i even have a email confirming service cancelled yet they still take my money... wish i neva gave them my banking details... and I am still waiting for a response from

I don't want to cancel ... but there seems to be an error in the way they calculate their datausage. It's been five days since I logged it and noone has a reliable answer. Thye also cannot tell me what I have used and what I haven't. The client zone has this information, but they can't access it or reconcile it. It's only been 1 month and a bit ... how hard can it be. I had 5120 MB in Oct ... I used 5323 MB in Oct, and without using November, it says I've used 400 MB roughly. How can this be? Haven't got a simple answer yet.

I have a Cybersmart account and just recently signed up for a 2gb Afrihost account. The latency for gaming is approx. 30-40ms better on my 384 line, so, effectively i'm paying R58 a month for better gaming and i use the other account for everything else..↲
Win Win situation? I think so.. :):):)
