So, fibre was finally installed today but no internet access yet. The Vumatel tech says I must call my ISP. Been waiting for a call back from support since 2:30 pm. Tried the WhatsApp support but they couldn't help and was told they would arrange a callback.
Afri*people* ?
Sorry for replying to your post so late!I can see that you were called. Please confirm for me.

They did come back to me and said that they can only change my line speed next month.. which is quite long just to pay more money than what I do now for a service..
Is there no ways of speeding up the process?
Would love to know where your system is getting this misinformation from...Hmmmm... I can see what you mean by the fact you are confused. The total data does not add up as it should be a total out of 800.00 GB. I have checked your packages on my side and I can see that everything is displaying normally.
Sorry about that!Did you follow setup guide we emailed to you? If you did and if you are still having issues with your connection, please send me a PM with your account information and I will see what is happening on our side for you.
That looks awesome! Thanks for the update!![]()
So things started off well. But since I upgraded to 200/100 priority fibre, I rarely hit speeds over 110mbps. Premium Fibre I got 150 to 192mbps.
Isn’t priority fibre better?
And now I’ve been double billed. Got 2 invoices. 1 for Premium Fibre 200/100 for the month of June and 1 for Priority Fibre for the month of June + pro rata since the time I upgraded. The latter invoice is correct. The first is for?!?
Our system should have credited you for the old package, we will only bill you for the current package that you are on.
Are you testing your speeds over WiFi?
It's nearing the last week of the month, Afrihost always has problems at this time as capped users are using up the last of their data.Doesn’t look like a credit. Says it will automatically be deducted on 1 June.
I’m testing using an iMac with gigabit Ethernet cable and MacBook Pro on WiFi.
Both produce the same results.

You saw on my previous post just a few days ago I was raving about the brilliant results. 192mbps.
So no it’s nothing to do with my hardware or WiFi.
I’m just querying and mentioning that literally since I upgraded to Priority Fibre, I’m getting consistently slower speeds than what I first got on Premium.

Also, may I ask what your usage is to go uncapped on 200Mbps rather than a large capped account?
Assuming OpenServe:
200Mbps + 25GB cap = R1107
200Mbps + 1TB cap = R2457 (975GB for R1350 = R1.38/gig) though top-ups above this are R2.50. :erm:
200Mbps + priority uncapped = R2497.00
So priority uncapped is basically the same as a capped account with a 1TB account.
Since this is fiber feedback, not data feedback, I can mention my set-up: 100Mbps + 25GB capped from Afrihost, you could do the 200Mbps + 25GB for R1107, then use a Vox package for data, it's R779 for 1TB, so R0.78/gig. Might work out better, plus the working 6x your cap roll-over versus Afrihost's lack of any roll over.
Their new bot just confirmed it for me even though the Afrireps keep stating that it does apply:

Afrihost you need to train your bot a lot more. Assuming dialogflow?

Hi,
If i was to do an upgrade from 20MB to 50MB, the day after my invoice was paid (using the client zone), will I be charged again or only charged at month end for the new sub.
Thanks
Sent a PM this morning for my capped Fibre June and July rollover data-links to be allocated please.
I still cannot see my data usage, cannot see whether after-hours data is working or how much consumed, unused data not rolling over.
In a few days, it will be exactly a year and there's been absolutely no progress despite all the promises that the team is 'working hard to get it solved' and 'it enjoys high priority with our dev team'...
Sent mine thru early this morning already (still waiting btw). If they can't even get their outstanding bandwidth notifications right, what hope is there for this dev team to deliver in the next year ?Sent a PM this morning for my capped Fibre June and July rollover data-links to be allocated please.
