Afrihost Mobile Delivery Feedback Thread

Sure they have been pre-RICA's but that does not remove the onus on Afrihost to complete the process by collecting the documentation from you.

I am sure you will find if you don't cough up the prerequisite documents you won't get your stuff.

Not the reasoning behind me looking for the RICA status, but I see your point.

I was curious to see a 083 number allocated.
OT: My latest MTN contract sign up gave me a recycled 083 number on which I get calls for debt collectors for 2 different people.. I also get Ebucks and FNB OTP on here.. [/OT]
 
No my comment was not targeted at you Anthro, but those who may get the idea that seeing MTN's system says your number is RICA'd they don't have to go through the hassle of preparing the docs for the Afrihost delivery.

I am sure AfriMan will chime in shortly and agree with me :)

If you sign up for APN access, we don't send you a SIM card, becuase you are using your existing SIM - which is already RICA'd. We only RICA new SIMs :)
 
Understood, but I believe the reference was to checking one's own new number from the ClientZone of the SIM that is to be delivered on the 3rd, which now currently as RICA registered.
 
It is probably preRICAed so that it would work when you get it, but might stop working mid month if you did not produce all the required documents, I would believe.

Well Afrihost's courier won't give it to you unless you produce the docs.
 
Guys, RICA is a joke. There is no way the delivery guy can possible verify whether a document is real or not. Get an old bill from someone, change the address in Photoshop, print it out on your colour printer and bobs your uncle.

Payment received but not packed? Afrihost you are getting a bit slack it seems. :D
 
I guess they use your delivery address to RICA ? That will be my work address... interesting.
