Afrihost Mobile Delivery Feedback Thread

Funny that it worked twice in a row for me. Maybe it was because I followed up and stayed in touch as well as communicated with the couriers in real time.
It's pretty obvious the tracking information is not getting updated. Clearly whatever system is in place for keeping it updated for those that have tracking numbers has fallen over and for others the tracking information has even been issued. I don't really care, the courier will have to come out again next week or on Saturday if they've made arrangements for that or keep updating the delivery address if they want to deliver it by tomorrow. There's nothing to follow up on.

Those of you that are expecting a delivery from Afrihost:

we have close to 10 000 of them to deliver by 6th September.
we have received nearly 2000 requests to change the delivery address.
we are experiencing serious delays/failures as a result of people not having their RICA docs ready.
We ask for your patience and understanding - your delivery will get to you before the 6th as originally promised.

Spoke to Howard at their Cape Town depot & he advised bags of the stuff is coming in and they are being processed. He also said that a lot of deliveries will only go out on Monday. :eek:

I hope Gian knows about this. :whistle:

He took my tracking number down and will keep an eye out for my package. :erm:

I have been trying to phone Afrihost / MDS Courriers but nobody can help me - I have been sent from pillar to post lol!
 
Sorry, but Afrihost did state very clearly from the start that the devices would be delivered by the 6th Sept. It is not the 6th Sept yet.
I am also still waiting from mine, i also ordered on the 20th and paid on the 22nd. But as they said it will be delivered by the 6th, i am happy to wait until the 6th.
True but mine still says Status: Pending and I really don't see how they can possibly make tomorrow's deadline.

At this stage cancellation is better than aggravation. ;)

Processing Order my wifes, she ordered on the original day as well. Not a peep from these couriers.
 
Funny thing. Seems of the four people that ordered in my office - the two of us that ordered last recieved ours first.
(Mental image of a store-room where bags of Orders are dropped and staff taking the bags closest to the door first)

I have received my package on Monday Morning and the status still show "Package on route" and not "Finished/Delivered"

I assume the couriers haven't reported back yet.

If you do have a courier way-bill number all it takes is a call them to make proper arrangements. If you do not have a courier way-bill than all it takes is to call Afrihost or contact them via the forum to query.

When I went to pick up my daughters MiFi at the depot, after prior arrangement, their management told me they already pitched up at 2000 "wrong" addresses. Excluding those that did not adhere to the Rica requirements. Now do the maths.

Still waiting... this is the third day in a row now, that Collivery's tracking page says "Delivery Courier Dispatched". Is he travelling by donkey? :(

I've just spoken to someone at MDS Collivery and they say that my area is only serviced on Saturdays, so that's when I'll receive mine... :cry:

They're going to go through every item one by one to find it are they? Which would be funny in the case of people who have theirs, but the courier thinks they haven't even sent it out yet.
