Great ... and I got a email this weekend from Afrihost saying you guys are doubling my data next month to make up for the delays. That is great. Wow. .... I am gonna have to look for stuff to download.
 
I'm still waiting for mine. The guys at MDS seem to be struggling to find my location. Montecasino is apparently quite hard to find.

So far the following has happened:
No delivery last week despite me having been in the office the entire time bar Friday when I was sick. As soon as I got sick I notified MDS and Afrihost I will not be in the office. Lo and behold I get a call around 2pm on Friday saying they were there to deliver. So i sent them packing and arranged for a Monday delivery.

On Sat I get quite a rude call from MDS, according to them they have been to my office 3 times during the week and I am never available. They suggested I go and collect from them, which I wasn't too chuffed about. The once on Friday I can possibly understand due to miscommunication. The other two times our security and reception have no record of them. Anyways I arranged with the guy that I will sit at reception myself and he assures me they will try to delivery first thing today (Monday the 16th).

This hasn't happened. It looks like they have 'lost' me again. I have got security and reception at all the possible places on high alert for my delivery. I called the tracking department at MDS and can hear the phone being switched from extension to extension.

Tune in next time for the trials and tribulations of the mifi device delivery :)
 
I went and fetched it myself to keep my sanity. Phoned ahead and asked them to keep it at the office and not go out for delivery. MDS was very helpful, kept it at their office and it took all of 5 minutes to process. Seeing as their Pretoria (Hatfield) office is on the way into work, it was not much of a hassle. Received it at last...should have done this much earlier. Now appreciating the sweet Afrihost deal.

AfriGuy. I also expect the same. I still don't have my sim and I need it ASAP. Should I PM you my details?
 
Yay....got a email from Collivery saying they have been requested by AH to collect my parcel. So I am hoping I get my sim this week then. Must remember to bring my ID to work

Ohhh .... just got another email ... they have collected my parcel. That was quick. I will bring ID from tomorrow just to be safe ... the emails says they will let me know again once driver is dispatched.

LoL - They were supposed to call me too. Driver just rocked up at my place & our doggie almost took a large bite out of him!
Good guy, he kept the package high up in one hand & the other hand making some disturbing waving gestures.
He made sure I got package the unharmed :)

Nice speeds. I'm in Fourways hoping to get similar. Just got mine today, but cant seem to get it working, does it take a day or two to RICA or am i missing some setting. Just did Afrihost and the dial number. Help please.

@ockie totally unfair I am going to boycott!! I want free data as well :)

We both ordered on the same day and your payment method is debit order I paid by credit card. Just the difference with debit order monies had to reflect before releasing your parcel!

@Jladan I know how you feel I had the same issues with MDS, they couldn't find my house number at all cause their driver's don't have GPS(motorbikes). I phoned MDS up supplied them with all the necessary details intersection etc, but not once did their driver bother to call me, did get a phone call from MDS, that they would prefer me to collect, over a week passed by.

My housemate ordered hers on the 4th and paid by credit card. Hers was delivered yesterday....so yours should be with you now also? I am still waiting for mine. :cry:
 
Latest update on my front is that it's at the courier depot. Let's see how many days it takes for them to read my address.
