Afrihost MTN Fixed LTE-A Thread

Is AH MTN FLTE affected by these cable breaks? Cause damn it was terrible last night.

Yes remember that MTN hands over the traffic to Afrihost so it's basically the same network as their fibre.

EDIT: Seems my local speeds are also not at its usual level. Also a byproduct of these cable breaks?

Install Cloudflare Warp....takes a few mins....if you can be @rsed.
May save you similiar ballache in the future as well.

Nice solution for PC, would like to use this on LIT TV box, Mi-Box, and or Fire TV Stick. Reports so far indicate sideload on Android TV not reliable. :(
 
Is twitter working for anyone with the Afrihost/Mtn connection ? For a few days now i haven't been able to load up a few sites including twitter. It has to be something on the Afrihost/Mtn side because as soon as i connect to a different ISP all the sites run as normal.
 
Please can Afrihost update their coverage maps. I've been on MTN fixed lte for about 3 months now. I'm looking at Afrihost mainly because there seems to he higher lever of support, plus Ive been trying for 3 days now to do a top-up which keeps failing, but support are quite frankly quite hopeless.Sometimes I get as far as entering the OTP from the bank,then it just fails. I see I can have multiple accounts, that should bypass the huge cost of topup.
 
My local performance is also up tp crap. Also a result of these cable breaks?
 
How is your international performance since AH purchased additional capacity on other undersea cables? (As per the linked post below.)

Mine still very much below normal. Getting speeds between 5 - 10 mbps to London.
 
Is Afrihost MTN Fixed LTE down? Started last night. Router shows connected, I have data left but I cannot browse any sites. Local or international. Just get a timeout.

Have the same problem. Seems that your IP address get blacklisted. Switch off router for 15minutes and try again. Mine worked a few minutes after that and then timeouts again.

Credit where it is due. Much better performance on international traffic today. Thanks AH for making a backup plan.

Hi same problem again...I notice this happens when downloading for an extended period..v annoying as I was updating a game and it failed after 20GB!!

Pls reset my radius as before and get the tech team to resolve this issue as a matter of urgency

Many people seem to be experiencing same issue.
