As we've mentioned previously, we're not seeing this in general. We're going to look specifically at your account at what might be happening, but all our tests (from Cape Town) to the same domains/IPs show normal latency and no packet loss at all :(

After 3 weeks sending the same trace and Afrihost can not fix the problem I don't care anymore

We're really grateful for the info, but to be honest you've been having issues for ages, and generally when others are reporting good latency, even sometimes to the same sites. We need to figure out exactly what you are doing, on your own network, to recreate this problem. We're looking at everything like monitoring your traffic, etc, to try and figure out why you are getting results different from the rest of the people in that regional network.

No it is getting worth the last 3 weeks
And the users having no problem in Cape Town using different pop as mine and is not my account I have a Afrihost test account the same problem every evening after 19:00 the latency goes up but ping to bras is fine you ask to be polite but don't expect the users are stupid
I'm running a network my self this is my job and I only have packets loss with Afrihost your routing change every night one night local next night international

As I have said, we're happy to keep investigating, it could be a function of the network you are running, or simply advanced settings that you are using but our tests don't show this and we've had users in Cape Town try to replicate this over many nights. I never said that you are stupid, but by the same token it would be unfair to assume our network people have no idea what they are doing. This is their job and they know how to troubleshoot such issues. Ultimately running a network of several hundred thousand users, covering the whole country and linking/peering with multiple local and international networks is highly specialised, and they are very experienced and competent. So let's all give each other respect where respect is due.

But you never answer the different pop you running in Cape Town
And users using cpt-up1.ip.adsl.co.za having problems
User using cpt-rx2.ip.adsl.co.za having no problem
How you get associated to witch pop get used i point this out manny times but it get ignored

I am not going to lie. On a whim I used AFrihost on Tuesday Night and Wednesday night and my ping to World of Warcraft was 170/177 and the highest spike I had was 220/240but it normalised back to below 200 and this was up until around 11:00pm last night, while my brother was playing The Division (He had no "Poor connection to the server" issues either) and was playing BF1 at under 200 as well. 2 Nights in a row there was no spiking for me at all. I have no idea what changed but I had no problems.

I will test again tonight and see if it changes.

That's great to hear! :D Our Team has been working on improving and stabilizing the latency over the international links, and Im glad you've seen an improvement!

If there is any change, please let me know!

I played Fifa last night, just as the ball is about to hit the back of the net, i switched off. Good thing, because it was going into my net :D

Hi

Can you be used on SADV fibre, saw article on mybb that you have partnered with several open-access sps

Thats actually a good point :D I had no packet loss or ping issues on my XB1 either. It was butter smooth again after weeks of seemingly meh performance on AH.

If the pings can stay like this, BUT be fixed for everybody else, then I will suggest a Bells for the AH teams.
