That is pretty weird. Have you tried clearing your cache and cookies?

You don't need to say who you are transferring to. When your line goes into the holding pool, the first ISP to request it will take ownership.
Ok Great. Thanks and will try as you suggested.

Just want to say that even though it took quite a stretch of time before my migration to Afrihost went through, I couldn't be more satisfied these last few weeks. Thus far, no cause for complaint, whatsoever.
Better and consistent overall performance than my previous ISP.

It was worth the wait.. Definitely.. Buffering is no longer in my vocabulary

That's awesome - thanks for the great feedback!

That's awesome!

So decided to try and break this 1Gbps line - think I failed miserably.

Running 5 video streams - 4K Netflix, DSTV now, Netflix HD in two bedrooms, and also watching Netflix on this laptop. Also, torrents runnings in the background. (Full transparency - one of these streams may be Peppa Pig)

And still getting this on speedtest:

Definitely sounds like we haven't done enough to give you Pure Internet Joy :(

Please drop me a PM, and let me find out what's going on. If the line is suspended, it could mean that it was in the holding pool for too long. However, I am sure we can find a way forward.

Truly sorry about this :(

It was fixed a couple of hours later.

Very frustrating getting to a call agent that obviously talks BS just to get you off the line.

I still don't have any trust in the call agents.

I can totally understand that - generally, dealing with call centres from different companies can be a mixed bag. I promise that our consultants are usually pretty good at what they do, and generally get things right. But we do make mistakes. I'd also be happy to forward this onto our QA manager so he can see where we can improve.

Been waiting now for 18 days for the migration to go through.

Still on Cool ideas OpenServe 100/50 to be migrated to 200/100 Afrihost Pure Fibre.

Could it be the difference in line speeds causing the migration delay ?

That's definitely strange. If you signed up before the end of August it should have gone trhough by now.

Have Cool Ideas released the line? Please PM me so I can look into this for you.

If you are still on Cool Ideas means Cool Ideas did not cancel your service. Once Cool Ideas cancel your service then move your line to the holding pool can Afrihost snatch the line from the Holding pool and activate your pppoe details for the migration.

I suggest you start at Cool Ideas to get dates when service will end with them.

We definitely do have staff available, however our phone lines close at 5pm. All our other channels should still be open.

And remember that you can log a call back and we'll call you when it's convenient for you or at the earliest available time.
How would one reach these supposedly available support staff? WhatsApp and live chat states that nobody is online.

@AfriMan

I signed up the pure fibre special but my area is only in panning stage atm, do I still get the 2 months free when the service goes live?
