We will submit the package change at the end of the month. Ordinarily you would have paid for 1 month of 200Mbps, so we have to complete the month before downgrade you.

Is it acceptable for a 1000/100 client on Vumatel trenched to max out download / upload 24/7 ?

It's always difficult to give a guaranteed turnaround, but on average we see installations around two weeks (if the area is already live).

Really depends on the area and the resources available from the provider.

At least you can enjoy low latency, stable speeds - so your experience is still going to be better than 20Mbps ADSL :thumbsup:
 
Hey guys, last night my router starts randomly rebooting. while watching 1 episode on netflix, the router did a reboot 3 times. At which point i gave up and and went to bed. Anybody else experienced similar? Router is the D-Link DIR-825

Mine has never rebooted in the 3 months I've had it.. Also had 0 problems when I was with afrihost in the beginning for 18 months..

That seems pretty strange. I can understand disconnects, but the router rebooting is a strange one. Have you done the latest firmware update and all of that?
 
Hey @AfriMan checking in again for an update on the international routing issue. :p
Everything else has been great, it's just at this point if you do gaming a vpn is basically required with afrihost.

I did the firmware update at the beginning of the month. So that was done a while back.

But so far the issue hasn't occured again - will monitor and advise

At this point in time i will not even mind paying my VPN fee to afrihost and only be routed to London.(Skipping Marseille route completely).
