Thanks! Which VPN is this?

NordVPN, but i wouldnt use them for gaming. Intermittently the connection seems to drop, but i have only tested on my own PC. Tried dialing a vox account and it does the same thing on there so its not an AH issue. Another mybb user recommended ExpressVPN

I tested 7 different vpn's as someone based in cape town. I ended up with PIA. By default I have it connect to JHB for normal browsing. If I game I just set it to London. Have been very happy with it so far.

+1 for PIA. Been using them for little over 3 years and never had a single issue.

Just received a call from a Telkom manager  After months and hundreds of calls, he seems to get my issue and I am getting a B number! ... after 5 years!

Hey guys

I see I received a ton of PM's last night and today - working through them and the posts here as quickly as I can.

I was at the MyBB conference today. Very cool, and we had a stand for the first time ever - hope some of you stopped by. You may even have had a conversation with me (but known that I was me!).

I still have to squeeze in some studying tonight (or I will never finish this damn course) but I'll make sure I get to everyone's messages.

Hey guys, looking for a new ISP and I told myself I'd never touch AH again but options are quite limited so I'm contemplating giving them another chance.

Can somebody in Cape Town just do me a favour and post a traceroute to 145.253.248.206 (speedtest server in Frankfurt).

Thanks!

Nice to see you back in our threads - it's been a minute. I see you got some replies on your request. You also welcome to PM me anytime if you have questions about the Pure Fibre promotion :)

Any Afrihost freebies left over from the stand that I could come collect? :p

What course are you busy with?
I want to submit my order for fibre, but I cannot set the debit order date when placing the order. Does it just take the date it was ordered or a different date? What's the default?

Afrihost only debits month-end (last day I think or 1st), you can not choose debit date - what I usually do - when I get paid mid-month, I credit my Afrihost account via clientzone, they charge client zone account instead of bank account month-end

I'm doing an MBA through Henley Business School - as Gob Bluth would say "I've made a huge mistake!"

Unfortunately we don't offer custom debit order dates - all debits go off on the 1st of the month.

Great suggestion - you make a custom payment and put your account in credit for the month to come. Just remember that if you do any topups (if you also do mobile, etc) then it will reduce your credit balance.

Hectic!

Good luck! And thank you.

Morning Afrihost peeps, my connection seems like it is suffering from the heat wave... or is it load shedding perhaps. Line is extremely slow today, to the point of non-existent. Poor latency and download and upload speeds virtually non-existent. Anyone else having issues? I'm on Vuma Aerial in the Whiteridge, Roodepoort area. Even struggling to get the speed test to run

It's pwrfect for me on Openserve in Centurion. Maybe a Vumatel issue but not a Afrihost network issue because it's running like a boeing my side. Streaming the rugby now.

Thanks. Just my luck that my line decides to act up today. Streaming the rugby with poor picture quality and buffering every few minutes. At least it's a bit better now than it was with the Wales France match

Managed to get hold of Afrihost support on the Whatsapp line. They ran a session auditor to refresh the connection. All sorted. At least got to watch the rugby properly
