@russellO I actually reached out to Afrihost about this a few months ago, to no avail. I'm in George & my route goes George -> PE -> JHB -> CPT... So it's not related to the Capacity issue. But definitely frustrating when I see other guys I know from around here with noticeably less latency.

@AfriGuy could you PLEASE ask someone in your NOC team to look at 169-1-21-1.ip.afrihost.co.za. There is intermittent loss on that hop.

All I can get out of your support channels is "are you still experiencing these connection drops" and "please send speedtest results".

on the subject of cybersmart, @cavedog have you seen/tried their free 20gig + 100gb night data for OS? I tried to sign up but their form is not accepting my documents so I've sent them an email.

Yes instant signup when I did it. You have to mail documents to them after the signup process. :unsure:

looks like their developers are checking for file extensions to be lowercase, the city of CPT emails their rates with .PDF, changed it and now my sign up worked.

There was one posted by someone else having the same problem a page back:

Mine looked similar when I originally caught it, but it's usually only noticeable in-game and then I'm not in a position to fire up WinMTR before it stops again.

I've been having the same issues with 169-1-21-1.ip.afrihost.co.za. First noticed it on Sunday and it's been like this everyday since:

This isn't as bad as it sometimes gets - it will also shoot to 15% PL before coming back down.
 
It actually seems much worse today for some reason. Happening much more often. Pretty damn annoying.
 
No response, no resolution, no indication it was even read or forwarded. Wonder if whoever's running the forum account these days just logs in once every 24 hours. It's worse than ever today/tonight. Pretty pathetic service/support.
