I'm getting the same. Went from 100/50 to 100/100 after the upgrade. Have done resets on devices and ONT, nothing helps.

Hopefully @AfriNatic can assist
My home network runs through an old 100Mb switch so matter what the router can achieve the internal network will be 100mb. Maybe the cell phones can go higher as they connect via wifi.

Anyone notice that Afrihost/Octotel is making network changes? ...Check your public IP vs what is being assigned to your device...this is going to cause a ton of issues for most users that do any kind of NAT / Port forwards, VPN, remote access, gaming etc...

That is strange because it should always get an ip even if it's not mapped. That will just trigger the activation page if it's a new MAC address that is not linked to a service. If you are getting an IP connected directly to the ONT then something else might be the issue.

Ok its fixed, I assume your DHCP servers were overloaded or something.

Any reason the IP changed to the 102 range from 156?

There is some strain on our IPv4 resources so we are managing IPs more stricter than before.

I canceled my fibre service with a service provider to give Afrihost a chance. As per all the instructions on the app I did what was required. Nothing happened, still no internet. I then decided to phone the call center which was a bit of a mistake as I held for a tech for an hour. He told me vumatel has to activate the port on their side and that he would get back to me as soon as it was done. Still no internet.
Is this normal?

Its a process but dont let that get you down, once you are up its smooth sailing from there onwards.

It might be a pending order that is not complete. I can look into this for you if you can send me a pm with your clientzone email address.

Thank you for your enthusiasm, but I was promised feedback yesterday from a person at the call center and I'm still waiting. This is a rocky start in a trust relationship with a new isp.

Morning,

You still experiencing an issue? I can have a look for you.

Seems like my dad was debited twice. One on 1 october and another on 2 October. Seems to be related to the free upgrade.

We are seeing some clients getting debited twice. This is an error and the credit is effectively sitting in the Afrihost account.

I can log refund requests for people that has been debited twice.
