Thought I would troll Vumatel on Twitter, get an idea of how far up their own a$$es their heads are...

it's not always about price it's about the support. Afrihost support Is on another level. Our standard pricing is R597 for 25/25 for new and existing clients.
So you are happy to lose existing clients to say MWEB who are offering the Openserve package at better rates?
We are waiting for confirmation from Vumatel Noc.
The following areas Norwood, Waverley, Ferndale, Randpark.
Vuma Aerial clients with a Zhone (ZNT) ONT is affected. Once we have confirmation from Vuma Noc we will add a notice.
My connection is stone dead for around 20 min now. No red light on the ONT box, cold rebooted all the network gear 3 times, checked that my Afrihost account is in good order in the Clientzone, no Openserve network notices etc.
Wtf. This is in Walmer, Port Elizabeth (ahem, Gqeberha).
Edit: the router says unable to connect to the internet. Ffs. Can't tell if it's an Afrihost or Openserve issue. There's no indication in the Clientzone of an issue with my account.
Interesting. It seems they intent and doing a house call... maybe they going to swap out the ONT?

Nope, been perfect. Hence my confusion. They sticking to the "issue is at the residence" narrative...How has the connection been? Still down?

Is there perhaps another issue they've identified on the line? When they call you can cancel it saying it was part of a Network Incident.

We have noted the changes to Frogfoot packages. Once our Fibre ops team have assessed and confirmed we will be sending out emails to clients.![]()

Hi @AfriNatic ,I am with Frogfoot.
My installation was paid for 2 years ago and I didn't choose a router.
Is there a clawback in my situation? Thanks
Oh that's cool. So the router is mine after 6 months. There is a fixed 6 month cancellation policy for our fibre service. After 6 months there is no cancellation even if you took a router or not. We do not supply free to use routers so whenever you cancel there is no router clawback.
