Thought I would troll Vumatel on Twitter, get an idea of how far up their own a$$es their heads are...

We are waiting for confirmation from Vumatel Noc.

The following areas Norwood, Waverley, Ferndale, Randpark.

Vuma Aerial clients with a Zhone (ZNT) ONT is affected. Once we have confirmation from Vuma Noc we will add a notice.

Our standard pricing is R597 for 25/25 for new and existing clients.

So you are happy to lose existing clients to say MWEB who are offering the Openserve package at better rates?
it's not always about price it's about the support. Afrihost support Is on another level.

Mweb and Telkom is almost the same ask them what's latency they will say, haibo I don't know what you talking about.

My connection is stone dead for around 20 min now. No red light on the ONT box, cold rebooted all the network gear 3 times, checked that my Afrihost account is in good order in the Clientzone, no Openserve network notices etc.

Wtf. This is in Walmer, Port Elizabeth (ahem, Gqeberha).

Edit: the router says unable to connect to the internet. Ffs. Can't tell if it's an Afrihost or Openserve issue. There's no indication in the Clientzone of an issue with my account.

Sorry for the late reply. AAre you still experiencing issues?

Screenshot_2021-03-18 Award winning Frogfoot makes double up promo permanent for the majority ...png

We have noted the changes to Frogfoot packages. Once our Fibre ops team have assessed and confirmed we will be sending out emails to clients. ;)

so this isnt a promo it's just now that FF's entry level is 30mb (and the rest.. just new std speeds)?

The double speed promo from FF is still running.

10Mbps in qualifying areas currently enjoy 20Mbps for free since lockdown. From the 1st of May these clients will be migrated to 30Mbps.

Once confirmed I will revert back on how exactly we will go about the changes.

Hi @AfriNatic ,I am with Frogfoot.

My installation was paid for 2 years ago and I didn't choose a router.

Is there a clawback in my situation? Thanks

There is a fixed 6 month cancellation policy for our fibre service. After 6 months there is no cancellation even if you took a router or not. We do not supply free to use routers so whenever you cancel there is no router clawback.

@AfriNatic

Any idea if and when this will happen?
Will we get the 30Mbps upgrade also?

Oh that's cool. So the router is mine after 6 months.

The router I have kinda sucks. I signed up with you guys about 2 months ago.

Can I still pay the courier fee & get a router from you guys now? @AfriNatic
