I don't see the issue IMHO as everyone that has the double speed promo had to physically opt in by clicking a button, no other ISP was offering this AFAIK. They know it's a promo and for how long or else they wouldn't have done it in the first place of going into the clientzone, clicking on the line, then clicking upgrade. It was fun while it lasted.
Yeah, I get that but I feel it's important to note that with the upgrade, speed changed (doubled) while cost remained unchanged. Accounts should be returned to their pre promotional state IE half the speed with the price unchanged.

Anyway, let's see. I think there going to be plenty customers who aren't expecting to pay more from the 1st April and are going to have lots to say.

It's easier to migrate a customers account upwards and charge pro rata than it is going to be to down grade the accounts. SO someone who suddenly finds themselves back on 100mbps from the 1st can request 200mbps and have the conversation re price but someone who remains on 200mbps on the 1st is going to wonder why they paying R200 more month end. If they've missed the cutoff to downgrade they stuck with that bill for the month of April.

I am wondering what is going to happen on the 1st April 2021, do I need to do anything to my 25meg account? Should I downgrade? I don't see anything less than 25meg on the control app...

Howcome web Africa is so much cheaper on openserve fiber prices... 899 for a 200mbps.

Hi,

No need to do anything. 25Mbps is now the lowest package for Openserve.

We have upgraded everyone on Openserve already. We have completed all the legacy 8Mbps upgrades to 25Mbps around the 8th. We have not charged these clients anything for this month but starting from the 1st of April legacy Openserve clients that were on 8Mbps and moved to 25Mbps will have a new monthly fee of R497 per month.

Why is the same cost R597 if you move to Openserve?

I'm not sure I follow your question.

We had 8Mbps Openserve legacy packages. We had a lot of clients on these speeds. My post was directed at the legacy 8Mbps Openserve clients. We have upgraded everyone to 25Mbps for free this month and starting for 1st of April they will pay a reduced rate @ R497 for 25Mbps.

Legacy Vumatel 8Mbps clients will be migrated to 10/10 and will start paying a reduce rate from the 1st of April of R599

When will Vuma Reach customers be upgraded from 20 to 40

I am on Vox and would like to change to the Openserve package. Why must I pay R100 more for the same package. Even if you are sweeting the deal for legacy clients

Our standard pricing is R597 for 25/25 for new and existing clients.

The reduced rate is for legacy clients that are on packages that no longer exist. We will be taking a loss on these packages but to retain these clients we give them a reduced rate.

So you are happy to lose existing clients to say MWEB who are offering the Openserve package at better rates?
