Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread

Just to report on this thread. A friend and I moved from CISP to Afrihost Pure Fibre on 1 August 2019. There were issues with the migration and we immediately contacted AH via mybroadband, phone and WhatsApp. They worked with us to troubleshoot and identify what was causing the problems and by midday both of us were up and running on AH. Speeds have been great since then on the 200mbps product and the client zone information and convenience is certainly a notch above anything CISP had. Overall, I am happy with AH so far and once the initial teething problems are over I am sure others will be too. Now, we are just waiting for their accounts team to refund the one month penalty charged by CISP for cancelling.

Hang in there guys, I am sure it will be resolved soon and you will be enjoying pure Fibre.
I might be dead of a heart attack by then.. Stress related caused by AH

LOL. Hang in there Bud. I felt the same way for those few hours last week Thursday. Its gonna feel like Christmas when you receive that SMS : "Congratulations! Your Fibre Line is active. Log in to ClientZone to manage your services. We hope you enjoy your Blazing-Fast Broadband. Afrihost"

I know, been following your posts. They need to sort it out asap as many potential migrators are viewing this thread and noting the problems that you are having. I agree that since Gian is active on these forums, he should provide some response to what is going on.

Once I had someone at AH looking into my migration all I needed to do was reboot the CPE device and my router, the sms appeared and I was online. You will also see the connected status on client zone. Hope this info helps people waiting with anticipation.

Yeah..no, I'm kind of reluctant to do that.
At the moment I somehow still have a working connection, maybe if I do a reboot.... *POOF* :p

It bugs me how they said the service would be better and more attention paid to clients and how they sold their pure product.. A leopard never changes its skins is what I'm thinking now..

Should be sorted before 1pm today!! :p

Yeah - this is terrible support at the moment - seriously. What makes it even worse is that we sit here getting all worked up about it the more the silence continues, and knowing how they were all here a couple of weeks ago helping and answering questions all the time ...

pffffffft

I could drive to their offices in Rivonia.. I'm scared they will lock themselves in lol

I wanted to on Friday. They told me I'll be wasting my time :-)

I'm being patient, but don't know for how long

Guys, not to derail here but I just got a mail "confirmation" that my cancellation refund was processed and has been allocated to my AH account.
Excuse my ignorance but where do I make sure of that? Somewhere in the Client Zone? Because I don't see squat related to that there.

Under client zone go to billing the download an account history pdf with a date range that the refund was allocated. Should see all the transactions in the given range in a pdf format.
