Finally @STORMERSFAN I've been following your debacle quietly.

Anyway welcome to the club!

Use as much GB as you can to make up for lost time
I hope other ppl don't have the same problems I did.. And I pray I don't have any problems with my Fibre in the next 6 months as I don't wanna deal with the call centre

Hmm.. somehow Coolidea cancelled my fibre line today and not 31 Aug. Came home with no internet, phoned Coolidea, they are not sure what's happening and can't assist me until tomorrow.

Login to router changed PPPoE to dynamic IPv4 and instantly connected to Afrihost ?? So confused

Anyway speedtest 100mb line

Well since you paid for the month August already let cool ideas give you an invoice for the cancellation so you can claim that money back from Afrihost. Wow CISP just booted you off the network....

@AfriMan or @Afrigirl

But I thought this was going to be free:

Hi ********,

Thank you for the mail. The system erroneously double debited the account. However, the credit balance was used to cover the pro rata charge of 20Mbps Vumatel Pure Fibre.

Thank you.

Not happy at all.

Not sure I fully understand what happened here, but it doesn't sound completely right.

Can you drop me a PM? Will get one of the accounts supervisors to review and make sure it's 100% right for you :)

Sounds like everything is all good - speeds looking good. Never thought I'd see a 0ms ping in my lifetime. I think that deserves a round of applause :notworthy:

Yeah, already emailed the invoice to AH

Local not too bad. However, ping is higher on overwatch EU server compared to previous ISP. Is this due to packet loss?

Doesn't look like Packet Loss. If it was packet loss on the line it would carry through the whole trace route. I would disregard the 3rd from last hop. Probably a router not handling icmp packets that well.

What was your latency before with previous ISP?

Personally I found latency on par or maybe slightly better than before but definitely more stable.

On CISP, I think it's around 180ms +-. Now it's 200

It looks pretty consistent while its in our network. The last liquid telecom hop will be traffic leaving our network onto what looks like the hosting network - where the server is hosted. Seems like the latency originates there.

Best to test over a few days, might just be a temporary issue on the hosting network.

Did @esmile also manage to get connected today ? Sure hope so !

He should be sorted soon, I've seen the head of our fibre ops team has been in direct communication with him. We're having some demons getting the order pushed through, but we're calling in every favour we have to get this done as quickly as possible.

Looks like it's a bit of an anomaly in the system.

I think @Fjorko might be getting some withdrawal symptoms. Probably kind of enjoyed moaning at AH. :p
