Glad it's all back on track![]()
Really happy everyone is getting sorted now. I also had issues getting activated earlier in this thread but that got sorted after a day of constant following up via Whatsapp. In the end the support agent performed a manual activation as I was unable to do it from my own fibre line. That being said I am very happy with the 8/2Mbps service from Afrihost. It performs better than expected.

Just a quick report back.
I migrated to a 200/100 Pure Fibre deal (on Openserve) just over 2 weeks ago, and I have had consistently good speeds, so nothing to complain about there at all. It's been great!
However, at least once a day, the connection drops and I have to unplug and plug in the power to the router to get connected again. I am using the free Afrihost router. Any ideas as to what is causing this and how to fix it?
I'm having the same issue. Connection's still ok via ethernet it's just the wifi completely disappears from being broadcast. Woke up to it this morning so I went into settings and changed the wireless modes from mixed to just 802.11 N for 2.4Ghz and 802.11 AC for 5Ghz. Will report back if that works. If not I'll ask for a replacement.
Edit: and my line hasn't fully migrated so not getting new speed which = not having a good time yet.
Hi DinoPat, I sincerely apologize for the late response to your message. After conducting these changes to your router to try improve the connection, has there been any change, is it performing better than before, or would you like for us to look into this further for you?
@Neville Bailey does yours still do this? Does anyone else have this issue?/QUOTE]
I made the same changes that you mentioned yesterday, and so far no interruptions in the connection - but it's not 24 hours yet. We will see...

That will soften the blow.. So in other words.. Aug Sept Oct and Nov would be free and my cancellation credit would then be offset against Dec bill?
Thank you so much.. Much appreciatedYou're all sorted![]()
