Ok so I set it up from scratch again and followed the required steps, including enabling ‘Dynamic IPv4’ as the WAN connection type. No dice, I'm afraid.
"Failed to obtain an IP address from the DHCP server".
So I connected back up my old ASUS router with the old PPPoE details as supplied by CISP from back when I signed up with them. I can still connect to their network, no problem.
I feel as though I'm going around in circles here, but are you sure this isn't still a VUMA fault that has yet to be resolved?
I've mentioned this before but I think it bears repeating again. According to VUMA, currently "There is no active service on this line".
