Yeah, I'm not disputing there issues.
 
Although I do believe it may be a congestion issue that everyone is experiencing, I find it strange as I have had some of the smoothest buffer free twitch streaming since the Vumatel DHCP server was upgraded in Cape Town which fixed the high latency in peak hours.

I do see lower speedtest.net results internationally compared to when I originally signed up 1.5+ Years ago but if I do bandwidth testing from my MikroTik to an oversea server I get my full speeds every time so I can't tell if it is a capacity issue or the service .i.e AWS/Twitch/etc does not have enough interconnect bandwidth with CISP/Upstream provider during the peak hours.

I think so too. This has been going on since I first got Fibre and I was the first person in my area to get Fibre. CISP just sucks with RD and it doesn’t look like anything will be done about it. I also thought RD might be the reason but if that was the case then everyone (not just CISP users) would be having issues.

I’m getting fed up.

We're talking about RD streaming during prime time.
 
RD wasnt great with the OS ( Telkom ) test account i used the other night either. Like I mentioned a while back - RD is "OK" during non peak hours - and is also seemingly very dependent on which hoster's links you select. NitroFlare links for me are always slower than RG for example.
 
I will do some more tests on RD this week, but it's not capacity related.

RD, when i spoke to them via a ticket I logged said that the fact that you guys primarily use Hurricane Electric as your transit provider doesn't help our cause as they are "one of the worst" T1 providers out there...

Those were their words... not mine.
 
Just a weird question. Is there maybe a way you could test it with a local vpn node that takes a diffrent route and try to stream it with a free or trail vpn account?
 
 
These are my results. Last tested on the 18/9/2017 and today 4/11/2018. Ignore the error on the screenshot. I just run these now. I have 3 consecutive days done on VOX back in 2017 as well. I'll post them a little later for a laugh! They were piss poor!!

What is their justification around being "one of the worst" HE is the most peered provider on the planet.

RD's support staff tend to be very defensive and quick to point the blame elsewhere. I put it down to them being French

Yeah, they not a very service orientated company. Very much a take it or leave it approach and they not readily willing to admit fault...
 
I don’t care what the issue is, if the rest of the world can stream RD links on 20mb lines perfectly, then I should be able to stream on a 200mb line. So I expect a fix soon.

I remember running a test like this before for PBCool. The problem for me is downloading them with a file manager where I have 20 threads and getting full speed doesn’t help me much when my streaming on a Nvidia Shield or Xiaomi Mi Box only uses 1 thread and suddenly it grinds to a halt.

The rest of the world is trying to put RD out of business! Seed box type services are generally frowned upon...
