@PBCool please can I get a response and some help to my pm from yesterday. I really don’t want to go the whole weekend with no international yet again. I can’t keep having my international speed go to nothing every other week for days at a time. Every post asking for isp recommendations is told cool ideas. Who do I even change to if other isps are worse than this?
Sure have responded.

Hi @PBCool. Can anything be done about the poor streaming I'm experiencing? This is really frustrating as I cannot watch anything without a buffer or two every minute... please assist. Vuma aerial, ferndale randburg. Thx

Unable to stream twitch. Buffer every 10 sec or so. Tested on 720 and 1080p.

Real debrid is useless on CI. Not sure what is going on. Upgrading my line from 25 to 50 hoping to double my international speeds. Will jump ship if this continues on the new speed.

Also had lots of buffering streaming from DSTV Now - never usually a problem - I'm on 100. Thing is, if not CISP - where do we go - sounds like most ISP's are basically useless, and if CISP is the so called "best" - i don't think there is anywhere else to go . . .

With a ticket that is now a few days old - this is the response i get . I still don't think they get that the issue is INTERNATIONAL and not LOCAL

@PBCool - I think you need to inform your technicians that most of your customers know how Speedtest.net works , and that the issue is not local - its international.......

The thing about using a LAN cable is also lame - many tech savvy users knows that with Wireless AC widely available these days, we can run close to GB speeds - so wifi in our homes should really not be a problem, unless there are major issues with your setup.

Oom Klaas running his old Netgear Wireless G router @ 54Mbps - yes- maybe he has a wifi bottleneck, but not in my house. My Wifi is doing just fine and has ample bandwidth to suck 100Mbps from the Interwebs.

Even if i DO test over Ethernet - i still get the same results anyway. So its not about Ethernet vs Wifi.

True. It would be great if we can conduct another ISP test to validate this.

I’m on 200/200 and it doesn’t help. International streaming is broken on cisp

Thanks for the heads up. I just canceled the upgrade. Pointless waisting money.

I will wait till Monday to see what @PBCool says. It was working perfectly until Thursday but I can’t keep going going down for days at a time every other week while paying R1500 a month. Will see if VOX is any better. Don’t see how it can be any worse.

I’m starting to have enough of this rubbish international streaming. Especially RD. This has been going on since I got Fibre and CISP. If PBCool doesn’t sort this out I hate to say it but I will have to try another ISP. I’m starting to lose my cool with Cool Ideas.

Except it streams fine in 1080p no buffering on my rain Lte which gets 15mbs. So fine at 15mbs on rain Lte but can’t watch on 200mbs cisp?
Mmmm, I tried on Telkom LTE (roughly 12/10Mbps), different site, Kodi, Incursion/Real Debrid - 5 different streams, 4 x1080p, 1 x 720p and they all sucked to the point of redundancy.

Tried the same streams at home (CISP 200/200) with the same results... so not sure what's going on tonight....

It buffers right off the bat!!

Someone in the sports streaming thread is also streaming fine with cell c Lte but not cisp vumatel Fibre. It’s also not just rd. In this thread people have said twitch and dstv. I had issues with the cw, Hulu, cbs, sci fi as well
