Yeah, but I think the tests still indicate if an issue is present or not. Technically you only need around 1.5MB/s from a single thread to stream 1080p content.

Then clearly I’m not even getting 1.5mb in a single thread because I can’t stream a 1080p file unless it is less then 1gb in size. Either way there is a major issue because RD should not be this slow. I should be able to stream RD links perfectly no matter what the file size.

Besides occasional strange routes, HE to EU is very good and excellent value. People in EU using HE to connect to USA are often the ones that complain (for reasons unknown to me)

Where are RD's server's located?

Yeah, no argument from me on that dude. Somethings definitely broken. Shouldn't even be having this discussion on a 200Mbps/100Mbps/50Mbps/20Mbps fibre package. Hell man, 10Mbps adsl is usually enough to stream 1080p content comfortably.

Exactly. At this point I don’t even think it’s worth paying R1500 for 200mb when I can’t even use it for what I need it for.

Using IDM for the test kinda defeats the point, in that streaming is the problem (single threaded download), which very rarely starts fast, normally starts slow and speeds up slowly or never.

RD needs about 7mb to stream 1080p looking at resource monitor when its working. Think sandman was talking about 15mb, not 1.5mb.

Either way, I’m probably not even getting 1.5mb streaming to RD. LOL! What a joke. Can’t stream a 7gb RD link but I can stream a 7gb Googlevideo link LOL!

Yip, network monitor flat lines at 2-3mb, while we stare at the 0, hoping it picks up.

I actually just download my stuff now every morning, checking new episodes. 4 1080p episodes download before I've finished my coffee.

LOL! I know right? I should probably also just go back to downloading everything. Streaming just sucks. But no, I expect CISP to fix this. Because I’m paying R1500 every month, so I expect to use my internet the way I want.

Yeah, toying with this as well but not torrents, only news
 
Must say my streaming is the one thing that is perfect, only struggle with single threaded http downloads. We only have streaming content in our house, 4K on Netflix and at least two 1080p streams as well, all at the same time and never had an issue. Watched the Springbok game yesterday on DStv Now with no buffering or quality degradation.
 
Anyone else been getting loss in csgo for a few weeks now?
 
Twitch is unusable tonight for me. My router usage graph tells me its doing 3-4mb to twitch.

Usually if it's international related it would be across the board. So nothing in particular to report. But that's a poor international result, have you run an iperf at this point vs at quieter times?

Same here, again cannot stream anything, everything keep on buffering buffering...same old same old...it has started being an issue every night again...

PBCool, I see that more and more complaints on daily basis about international speeds and bandwidth, do you guys even do anything about this, or you are just gonna ignore all complaints and continue with some stories about congestion, about packet loss, or ask clients to run tests for you and even with that you don't really resolve anything? As I am really getting concerned that I am paying R 1400 per month for 200mbps line but actually getting ADSL speeds... Is this acceptable for you?
Most of the time I don't even get 50% of what I am paying for... I was hoping that at least you will try and upgrade your systems or whatever and resolve this issue but its been dragging for months and only getting worse?

I really DONT WANT TO PAY R 1400 for hardly 13-14mbps speeds! Perhaps offer us 90% discount as that would be correct and fair!
