I'm thinking of changing my line from telkom to you guys.

The thing is that telkom say my maximum line speed I can get here is 2meg even though I have a 4meg account and my line is syncing at 6meg.:wtf:

Is there any way to check if my line can go up to 10meg?

What are your line stats, and what mode (ADSL2+ or G.DMT)?

Your Attenuation and SNR are best indication of potential maximum you could stably achieve. Telkom doesn't update their lists often anyway

In the stats screen, can you not see the type?

You could change it to adsl2+ and see if it syncs... but if it's auto it's likely that it's on the best one your exchange supports.
Some adsl2+ exchanges only support 6mb max - mine was like that until a couple months ago.

Yeah, having issues my side too. Working remotely on a machine. Remote connection is solid as is Skype but browsing is almost impossible (assuming http is effected).

EDIT: And as I'm typing this the remote connection is lost...
