My business account seems to be working okay. 300KB/s torrents with browsing unaffected. Won't criticise download speeds until Afrihost's network status has a green light.

My latency is okayish. However, I just switched over from axxess because of the shaping and now I see that my download speeds are rarely going over 500KBps at the moment(10mbps account). I was wondering if this was just because of the international issues or are the speeds always like this. On Axxess i got 1MBps/900KBps average? Just wondering.

How do you get 150ms but I'm at 300ms? Are people on the east coast running on a different line to those in cape town?

I now cant log onto League of Legends.

Where is Afriman or the support i heard was so good here?

Afrihost Network Status - international connection issue

I see I am throttled to 75% - fine with me

It is long weekend, Afriman is moving house, so I'm giving them a break

Maybe we should all just switch the pc off and go for an evening walk ;-)

Really?? Are you expecting him to be here on this forum 24/7 ?

Is it too much for you to pick up the phone and get hold of support or email them?

Yes i do expect support to be available 24/7 because that's how a company with a big client base should operate.

And the phone lines are not going through because its weekend.

Except Afriman is a single representative of Afrihost, so for you to expect him to be avail 24/7 is unreasonable.

That is a whole different scenario.

I do not think it is fair to expect a rep of any ISP to sit all day/night on a forum such as MyBB to be at your beck and call. Don't recall seeing 'support on mybb forum' listed as a value-add on their website or under their services sold to you.

No its not fair on him I know but when there is no other way to get hold of support then this is where we come.

Word of mouth was that there was always someone here to assist customers with problems. You cant tell me that there is no-one in the support center at AH that could have a check on the forums every few minutes. Surely the guys on standby/call can be put on to monitor these forums when Afriman is not around.

Sorry to hear that there are some problems today. I see that the ping issue is still an issue for a few people, I know our network and dev guys are still busy looking into this to find out who this is affecting and why. The more information you can give us the better so please drop me a PM with your username and traceroutes so we can forward on to the right people.

I saw one comment about me not being available. It is my job to b available when you guys need help, and I apologise if I haven't responded in good time today. As I've mentioned before, the easiest way to reach me is a private message. I get a mail notification and then I know to respond to the message as soon as possible. Sometimes when I check in on the forum I might miss your post amongst other comments and banter, so it's always the best way to ensure that you get a definite resolution.

Ta :)

My account has been 100% dead for the last 45 minutes. Luckily I have FNB connect. What's up?

I'm unable to authenticate, Axxess 10mb uncapped or Afrihost capped account... Using Cybersmart 10mb uncapped back up account...
