Afrihost Uncapped DSL Feedback

P2P may be shaped during peak hours on Premium Uncapped, but I can assure you that we're not seeing any general issues on our DSL network at this time.

Could you please send me a traceroute to one of the affected sites? Perhaps we'll be able to spot something there?

Please try download atube catcher http://www.atube.me/ - Literally I cant.

Also that teamspeak server im trying to connect to in CT (hosted by you guessed it.....MWEB) I get 100 ping, but on the AH server i get 9ms.

It has been really bad tonight. Can't login to PSN at all, game updates downloading at 50Kbps max. But when I change to an Afrihost capped account everything is fine?
I thought Premium uncapped was supposed to mean something? But now I can see that all it means is that you get throttled.

Going to be looking for a new ISP since Afrihost have clearly lost the plot once again and I'm not patient enough to stick around any more.

Same issue I had the other day, not sure what it's all about, reddit came back on the last tracert again, any ideas? I am not running anything in the background.

You should definitely not be seeing issues with logging into PSN. Were you getting any specific error messages?

Are you still having trouble accessing Reddit?

@afrigenie the issues appear to start up late in the afternoon and continues through the evening. But this morning things were fine

Either you have some gnarly shaping happening in the background or I'm on shrooms

And I'm not (although shrooms would be good right about now)

Thanks for the update.

If we do shape your account it will only affect your HTTP and P2P downloads, real-time services are entirely unaffected. So we definitely need to figure out what's going on with your connection.

Did you see a jump in latency?

7:49pm, and there she blows!

Internet 100% unusable.
Youtube? Get lost!
Netflix? piss off!
Games? No chance in hell!
Websites? This one took 8 minutes to get in to...

All ****ed.

YouTube and local sites are A-OK for me but holy moly international is up and down at the moment. Some sites load fine while others take ages.

Yea and afrihost says there is no issue ... Maybe they need to browse the web and use their product. Every evening this is an issue and yet they denounce it

Ps: @ all the afrihost reps. Why don't u try browsing some international sites ... I've taken a random one now "tech radar" ... And tell us if it's all normal ?
