It's nice to see Altech back in the game - they used to be world leaders in this stuff and create awesomely engineered products, but have been very meh lately. Whether it's successful or not, technically this unit looks like a beast.

Half the price of DSTV.

DSTV is R1800 + R700 a month without any of the home automation features or ability to order pizza.

Agreed, but R600 of what I pay for DSTV is for sport, so they will need to sort that out on the Node and then I will consider it.
