Battlefield 6 - Official Thread

I tried to play last night and my PC restarted a few times with an error "game input service terminated". Not sure what caused it but put an end to gaming very quickly.
Might be due to CPU overheating causing a system crash.
I know a few folks who couldn't play due to their CPU cranking at 100% sustained and bombing out after a while.

Yeah the game is heavy on CPU. 12600KF on medium settings with an RTX5060 TI runs on 96 - 100% on all cpu threads. I have an okay liquid cooler but the fan ramped up pretty fast when playing. GPU was around 50% usage :( at 1440p

I was seeing a solid 70% usage on both my 7800X3D and my RTX 4090 when playing at 1440P. Its a game that does demand a lot out of the system. If I recall my memory usage was at 16GB for the system when playing.
My GPU fans ramped up hard so it was very obvious when the game was running, even when you were on the home screen.

I am one of those traitors who dropped the cash (R1,900) for the Phantom Edition yesterday. And now I wait for 10 October to play.

My 9800x3d & 9070XT ran the game with no fps drops while suprisingly quiet as well.

HardwareUnboxed ran some tests with this same system vs a 9800x3d with a 5080 playing at 1440p and the 9070XT was faster.
Dropping to 1080p, the 9070XT stretches the lead by actually quite a large margin. nVidia's higher cpu dependance / overhead hurts performance on heavy CPU titles.

Hats off to the devs for doing a good job - I haven't had as smooth a beta as this in a long time.

No pre-orders though!
Will wait for a week after release to see what the reviews look like.

Have you tried doing an undervolt? I have my 5090 undervolted and played with all settings maxed out at 3440x1440 and DLAA. With a rock solid 175fps (I limit to my monitors refresh rate) and the GPU was barely audible.

BF2042 has a free battle pass which one can play through to earn skins and other cosmetics for BF6. The battle pass was launched about 2 days ago, and they put the game on 95% discount as well.

Yip but done well in BF4 and about to be perfected in BF6   Miss that conquest large map warefare and even rush was next level battle. All class friendly too and might as well throw in Gulf of Oman.

Historically what do the Battlefield battlepasses cost in Rands? Is there talk of what the BF6 battlepass will cost?
